Our Programs

Youth Builder Program

The MRD Youth Builder Program was originally designed to provide inner city youth with free after school, weekend, and summertime recreational activities. Approximately 30% of these youth are stranded in emergency housing or homeless shelters, and 100% fall below the poverty level. In addition, the majority of them have no father figure in their home.

Samaritans Outreach Program

The MRD Samaritans Outreach Program helps provide for the basic needs of the homeless, vulnerable youth, and their families. Making several stops a night in the MRD van, Allan distributes food, clothing, personal care product kits, emergency funds, and on-the-street care and support.

363 Days Food Program

In 2011 the 363 Days Food Program distributed more than 600,000 sandwiches to the homeless and hungry. Sandwiches were prepared and donated by more than 500 community groups, churches, schools, and companies. In total, more than 10,000 individual volunteers participated in sandwich making events, ranging in age from 7 to 87 years old! Currently, Mr. Law distributes an average of 1600 sandwiches a night to Twin Cities partner shelters and locations serving the homeless.
